Nice OTG ski goggles. Fits well over my prescription glasses. Works great in sunny, bright conditions.

Great goggles

I recommend this google highly. This beautiful google works really well. The only negative, perhaps, is that it might be too large for some people.

Great product but needs a little bit more shading to protect from the sun!

Review by Shaad E. Abdullah, 2010-03-21

Great product, very comfortable though needs more shading from the sun. Fits well and can be fit on most helmets.

fit well with my glasses on and comfortable

Review by Y. LIN, 2010-03-19

I had been wearing contacts when skiing, and at one point decided to try this OTG goggle. I have 2 sets of glasses, one is light and frameless, and the other one with thick plastic frame. X-9 OTG goggle fits well with either set of glasses on. And it feels comfortable. The fitting kind of presses the legs of the glasses on to my face, and that helps keeping the glasses stable inside.

It takes some practice to take down the goggle while keeping the glasses on, but it's acceptable. Keep the head band loose will help. As for the fogging, it fogs a little bit in the first day of use, but that was not under normal skiing condition. It was 50F sunny weather so I would say a cooler weather shall help to reduce fogging. Overall I am satisfied with the goggle.

Good product, minor but annoying flaws

Review by Bahram Dahi, 2010-03-04

I bought this pair of goggles mainly because of the good reviews on Amazon. The following is based on my personal experience with the polarizing brown version this product on a 3-day ski trip: I found the overall quality of these goggles acceptable. They easily fit over my medium size glasses. I found it easier for my ears to raise the handles of my glasses to sit above my ears in order to reduce the pressure caused by the goggles' stretch bands. However, there are two somehow annoying issues with these goggles: the first one is that these goggles slide down and put pressure on your nose, making it harder to breath. I admit that this is a person-specific issue and it depends on the shape of the face and the nose so others may not have the same problem, nevertheless I still believe it's a design issue. I did not have such a problem with another brand of goggles (Smith Knowledge). Another problem I found was that the polarizing lens was creating optical illusions -- such as wavy ridges when actually looking at a flat snow surface at a close range. My eyes got used to it very soon but still it was not the best experience. This problem may be specific to the polarizing brown version, or even -- out of bad luck -- my copy of the goggles but I decided to share my experience with others anyhow knowing this could be the case.

Based on this experience I will definitely consider trying the goggles on before buying them from now on. If you have to buy online, considering the overall quality and value, I think the cheaper version of these goggles are in the acceptable range, especially if you have a small (not wide) nose.
