Good product, minor but annoying flawsReviewed by Bahram Dahi, 2010-03-04
I bought this pair of goggles mainly because of the good reviews on
Amazon. The following is based on my personal experience with the
polarizing brown version this product on a 3-day ski trip, which
may be different from other users. I found the overall quality of
these goggles acceptable. They easily fit over my medium size
glasses, however I found it easier for my ears to raise the handles
of my glasses to sit above my ears in order to reduce the pressure
caused by the goggles' stretch bands. However, there are two
somehow annoying issues with these goggles: the first one is that
these goggles slide down and put pressure on your nose, making it
harder to breath. I admit that this is a person-specific issue and
it depends on the shape of the face and the nose so others may not
have the same problem, however I still believe it's a design issue
since I did not have such a problem with another brand of goggles
(Smith Knowledge). Another problem I found was that the polarizing
lens was creating optical illusions -- such as wavy ridges when
actually looking at a flat snow surface at a close range. My eyes
got used to it very soon but still it was not a thrilling
experience. Again this problem may be specific to the polarizing
brown version, or even -- out of bad luck -- my copy of the goggles
but I decided to share my experience with others anyhow knowing
this could be the case.
I bought these goggles online because of good reviews and the fact
that there were no ski shops close to where I live, however based
on this experience I will definitely consider trying the goggles on
before buying them from now on. If you have to buy online,
considering the overall quality and value, I think the cheaper
version of these goggles are in the acceptable range, especially if
you have a small (not wide) nose.
Very good.Reviewed by Articholus, 2010-02-20
I got these for winter biking in Chicago and have been very pleased. Interestingly, they fit better over my large glasses than over my small glasses. Anyway. Love them.
Great!Reviewed by Mikhail O. Nikiforov, 2010-02-12
This is an awesome product. Protects you from snow, doesn't fog,
great design!
The price is reasonable. You should get it!
Great goggles!Reviewed by W. Lee, 2010-02-08
I bought these because my normal goggles would always fog up.
However, they never even fogged up once! They are larger to
accommodate prescription glasses.
Some people were saying that these goggles are large. They're not -
they're the same size as my other goggles, with the foam cut out so
that it allows for glasses to fit inside. The elastic band is a bit
small, but it wasn't a problem for me (however, if I had a bigger
head, I'm not so sure). I'd say I have a medium-sized head.
All in all, great goggles for a great price! Totally worth it.
Great Goggles!Reviewed by J. Davis, 2010-02-05
I bought these because they are bigger in surface space and they are made to go over glasses. I wear them when riding my ATV or just outside in the snow. They are great! Never fog up, comfortable and help keep your face warm because of their size. You don't need anything else - like sunglasses - under them in white out conditions either, the Vermillion tint is perfect to spare your eyes, but not too dark. I would absolutely buy these again and recommend to anyone.
